PERSONAL
- Appeared in six games during his debut season as a Red Raider … missed four games at the start of Big 12 play due to injury after entering the year as a backup at one of the two cornerback spots … contributed via special teams in addition to his role in the secondary.
- Recorded three tackles, all solo stops, with one in his season debut versus Kent State (9/6) and the other two the next week in the win over Oregon State (9/13) … broke up his lone pass of the season in the same win over the Beavers.
- Targeted seven times in the passing game, according to Pro Football Focus, with only three of those leading to a completion … plated at least one snap defensively in all six games, which included at both Kansas State (11/1) and West Virginia (11/29) during Big 12 play as well as the Edward Jones Big 12 Championship versus BYU (12/6) and the Capital One Orange Bowl against Oregon (1/1).
- Inserted as part of Texas Tech’s punt return unit late in the year on special teams … also inserted briefly on kickoff coverage and field goal block teams during the season.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
- Played true freshman season at Purdue before opting to enter the transfer portal ... was the fifth true freshman to start a season opener on defense for Purdue since the turn of the century ... made three starts overall and played in 11 of the Boilermakers' 12 regular season games ... totaled 13 tackles in first collegiate season with a season-high three stops at Oregon State (9/21) … added two pass breakups, which both came at Ohio State (11/9) late in the season … credited with playing in 253 defensive snaps by Pro Football Focus … enrolled at Purdue in May of 2024 shortly after graduating high school early.
- Joined the Red Raiders prior to the start of spring practices ... had three seasons of eligibility at Texas Tech and a redshirt available, if needed, upon his arrival.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Siegel High School in Murfreesboro, Tenn. ... developed into one of the top prospects not only in the state of Tennessee but also nationally despite not beginning to play the game of football until his freshman year in high school … reclassified to the class of 2024 to join Purdue a year earlier than expected.
- Helped lead Siegel to the Class 6A state playoffs for the first time since 2016 during his senior season … named to the All-State, All-District and All-Region teams, respectively, as a senior after totaling 36 tackles, 15 solos, five pass breakups and 2.0 tackles-for-loss on defense … two-way player as a wide receiver on offense, logging 29 receptions for 462 yards and eight touchdowns that same season … recognized as the 2023 6-3A Region Athlete of the Year by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA).
- Two-sport athlete, also competing for the track and field program … posted a 10.71 time in the 100-meter dash and jumped 23-1/2 feet in the long jump in the spring of 2024 ... successful in the classroom as well as a three-time academic honor roll recipient.
- Originally rated a five-star prospect by On3 in the class of 2025 before reclassifying … consensus four-star signee by the likes of On3, 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals … listed as the No. 1 player in the state of Tennessee by the On3 and 247Sports composite rankings … considered a top-300 prospect nationally by On3, 247Sports and Rivals with the latter ranking him as high as No. 60 in the country and No. 8 among cornerbacks.
- Chose to attend Purdue over offers from Virginia Tech, LSU, Oregon, Louisville, Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Michigan State, Miami, Nebraska and others.
