- Returned from injury to appear in all 14 games for the Red Raiders as a sophomore … key member of Texas Tech’s special teams units as a member of the punt return, kickoff coverage and kick return units.
- Led the team with an 81.6 overall grade on special teams by Pro Football Focus … grade was boosted by a blocked kick in the season opener versus Arkansas-Pine Bluff (8/30) … got his hands on UAPB’s second punt of the game, sending it backwards seven yards to give the Red Raiders the ball at the plus-21 yard line … the Red Raiders scored a play later on a Terrance Carter touchdown pass from Behren Morton for an early 14-0 lead.
- Ended the season with 100 snaps on special teams, including 75 on punt returns alone which led the team … saw action defensively in three games versus Kent State (9/6), BYU (12/6) in the Edward Jones Big 12 Championship and Oregon (1/1) in the Capital One Orange Bowl (1/1).
2024 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN)
- Sat out his entire first season as a Red Raider after suffering a preseason injury … moved to the defensive back room upon his arrival at Texas Tech.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
- Arrived at Texas Tech following one season at Houston … redshirted the 2023 season after appearing in only four games as a true freshman ... did not record any statistics ... totaled 14 snaps, 12 on special teams (eight punt return, four kick return) and twice lined up in the slot as a wide receiver.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Temple High School in Temple, Texas … was a four-year letterwinner in football, helping push Temple to the Class 6A Division I playoffs his final two seasons … played on both sides of the ball throughout his prep career.
- Shared District 12-6A Offensive MVP honors as a senior with now Red Raider teammate Will Hammond of Hutto … hauled in 48 catches for 978 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior … found the end zone five times on the ground that season with two additional touchdowns via his arm … invited to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl following his senior season, one of the nation’s premier events.
- Garnered first team All-District accolades as both a sophomore and junior as well, both at wide receiver … recognized as a second team All-District 12-6A honoree as a safety as only a freshman.

- Considered a consensus four-star prospect by the likes of Rivals, 247Sports, ESPN and On3 … among the top 300 recruits nationally by all four publications, ranking as high as No. 152 by 247Sports … originally recruited out of high school as a wide receiver, ranking as high as No. 11 at his position by 247Sports and No. 11 by ESPN … listed among the top recruits in Texas, ranking No. 28 by 247Sports, No. 31 by ESPN and No. 36 by Rivals ... had offers from 48 schools, among five finalists in Cal, Houston, Oklahoma, Texas and TCU … chose Houston during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
