PERSONAL
- Turned into one of Texas Techโs most-dynamic players as a senior after finding a role as a tight end as well as a deep snapper โฆ one of only a handful of players in the country to have an offensive position and be a key specialist as well โฆ ultimately led to him appearing in all 14 games in various roles.ย
- Served as Texas Techโs deep snapper on punt coverage with no failed attempts โฆ credited with 97 offensive snaps by Pro Football Focus with 68 of those coming on running plays โฆ utilized on heavy sets in the red zone and in short-yardage situations for a second-straight season due to his run-blocking ability.ย
2024 SEASON (JUNIOR)
- Appeared in 12 games as either a reserve tight end or on special teams during his first season as a Red Raider โฆ missed only the home date versus Cincinnati (9/28) โฆ often one of the shield protectors on Texas Techโs punt unit โฆ credited with one tackle on special teams, which came in the win over North Texas (9/14) โฆ saw action also on kickoff returns late in the season โฆ utilized in heavy sets late in the season as a third tight end on running downs.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
- Joined the Red Raiders following two seasons at the University of Oklahoma โฆ arrived at Texas Tech with three seasons of eligibility remaining โฆ played in a total of 13 games as a Sooner either on special teams or as a reserve tight end.
- 2023 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): saw action in only three games as a sophomore ... appeared in Oklahomaโs wins against Arkansas State (9/2), Tulsa (9/16) and Cincinnati (9/23).
- 2022 SEASON (FRESHMAN): played in 10 games as a true freshman in 2022 โฆ missed only three games that season late in the year against Baylor (11/5), Texas Tech (11/26) and versus Florida State in the Cheez-It Bowl (12/29).
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Aledo High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex โฆ played for one of the top Class 5A programs in the state of Texas โฆ helped push Aledo to the Class 5A Division-II state title his junior season โฆ the Bearcats returned to the regional semifinal round his senior year before narrowly falling to eventual state champion South Oak Cliff.
- An All-District 5-5A first-team selection as a senior after catching 30 passes for 452 yards and seven touchdowns โฆ also garnered first team All-State honors by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA).
- Earned first team All-District accolades as a junior as well after catching 28 passes for 453 yards and five touchdowns โฆ recognized as an honorable mention All-State honoree that season by the TSWA โฆ was a long snapper for Aledo in addition to his role as an All-State tight end.
- Considered a four-star prospect by Rivals and ESPN and a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and On3 โฆ ranked as the nationโs No. 12 tight end by Rivals and at No. 13 by ESPN โฆ was a Texas top-100 prospect by both publications as well โฆ chose Oklahoma over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Texas and others.

- Jason Llewellyn (loo-ELL-in) ... born in Aledo, Texas ... son of Paul and Cynthia Llewellyn ...ย has one sibling, an older brother โ John. ย
- His father was a linebacker at TCU and then played five seasons of minor league baseball within the Atlanta Braves organization.
- Hobbies include playing golf, hunting and fishing outside of football.ย
- Graduated with a bachelors degree in in business management in the spring of 2026 and is currently seeking a graduate certificate in sports communication.
