2023 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Appeared in all 13 games as a junior, mainly on special teams โฆ was one of Texas Techโs top special teams contributors, appearing throughout the season on the kickoff return, punt return and kickoff coverage units โฆ credited with 106 total snaps on special teams โฆ received a 79.3 special teams grade by Pro Football Focus, which ranked second on the team among Red Raiders with at least 50 snaps โฆ AWARDS AND HONORS: recognized for his work in the classroom as part of the Academic All-Big 12 first team.
2022 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
Appeared in 12 of 13 games during first season as a Red Raider โฆ missed only Texas Techโs overtime win over Houston early in the season โฆ regular on special teams as a contributor on punt return as well as kickoff coverage โฆ able to serve as the main punt returner and along front line as a blocker โฆ caught one pass as a wide receiver, which went for 11 yards in the season opener against Murray State (9/3) โฆ scout team member.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
Arrived at Texas Tech at the start of the 2022 spring semester following two years at Angelo State University โฆ appeared in four games overall during his tenure at Angelo State, all during the 2021 season โฆ hauled in five receptions during his Angelo State career, totaling 80 yards through the air โฆ best performance came against Simon Fraser (10/23) with two catches for 50 yards โฆ also had two catches the next week at Eastern New Mexico (10/3), resulting in 17 yards โฆ final catch came at Texas A&M-Kingsville, which went for 13 yards โฆ played in a total of four games in 2021 โฆ did not see any action during the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Frenship High School in the Lubbock area โฆ was a three-year starter for the Tigers, helping lead Frenship to the Class 6A playoffs as a senior โฆ teammate of former Red Raider quarterback Donovan Smith his senior year โฆ was a unanimous All-District 2-6A first-team selection that season after hauling in 59 passes for 947 yards and nine touchdowns โฆ previously caught 51 passes for 641 yards and five touchdowns as a junior in 2018 โฆ started that season with an impressive 12 receptions for 200 yards in Frenshipโs season opener at Amarillo High โฆ part of the receiver rotation as a sophomore before season was cut short due to injury โฆ key member of the Frenship menโs soccer program during prep career.
