- Redshirt season … appeared in only the regular-season finale against West Virginia (11/30) … scout team member … recognized as the defensive scout team player of the week following Texas Tech’s win over North Texas (9/14).
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Pearland Dawson High School in the Houston area … considered one of the top edge rusher prospects in the country after a successful three-year career with the Eagles … combined for 84 tackles, 14.5 sacks and 28.0 tackles for loss over his prep career … also totaled six pass breakups in the trenches to go with seven forced fumbles.
- Named to the District 23-6A first team each of his final two seasons … dominant as a senior with 33 tackles, including 12.0 for a loss and 5.0 sacks … had 8.0 tackles for loss each of his two previous seasons, notching 22 tackles as a junior in 2022 and 29 stops as a sophomore in 2021 … breakout sophomore season featured 6.0 sacks, the most in his career … garnered second team All-District 23-6A accolades following that season.
