- Attended Aledo High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex … played for one of the most dominant high school programs in the state of Texas … program claimed the Class 5A Division II state title his freshman, sophomore and junior seasons.
- Member of the state champion team in 2020 … the Bearcats were a perfect 12-0 his senior year before falling to eventual state champion South Oak Cliff in the regional finals … honorable mention All-District 5-5A selection as a senior.
- Recognized for work in the classroom as a first-team Academic All-State selection by the THSCA … two-sport athlete also competing in basketball … involved in Young Life, FCA and National Honor Society.
