- Arrives at Texas Tech as one of the top quarterback prospects out of the transfer portal … will play his final season of eligibility as a Red Raider after spending two years at both Indiana (2022-23) and fellow Big 12 member Cincinnati (2024-25) … has made 31 collegiate starts during his career and will enter the 2026 season among the most-experienced quarterbacks in college football.

- One of only 10 FBS quarterbacks the past two season to combine for at least 5,000 passing yards and 1,000 rushing yards … of that group, joined by only Kansas State’s Avery Johnson among Big 12 signal callers … one of only four quarterbacks to post those numbers at a power conference school both seasons, joining not only Johnson but also Arkansas’ Taylen Green, Texas A&M’s Marcel Reed, Vanderbilt’s Diego Pavia and Georgia Tech’s Haynes King.

- 2025 SEASON (JUNIOR): one of four team captains for the Bearcats … named an All-Big 12 second team honoree after completing 207-of-336 passes for 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns with only five interceptions, while also rushing for 580 yards and nine scores … tabbed the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year by Pro Football Focus as well as a semifinalist for the Davey O’Brien Award … helped lead Cincinnati to a 7-1 start and top-20 ranking, which pushed the Bearcats to their first bowl appearance since 2022.

- His five interceptions were tied for the third-fewest nationally among quarterbacks with at least 2,500 passing yards, trailing only UConn’s Joe Fagnano (1) and Ole Miss’ Trinidad Chambliss (3) … had an interception in only four of his 12 games played … marked his second-consecutive season with at least 2,500 passing yards and fewer than seven interceptions, making him one of only six FBS quarterbacks to do so since 2024.
- Put together one of the best seasons by a Cincinnati quarterback in history … closed the year fifth all-time in Cincinnati single-season history for yards of total offense (3,380), passing touchdowns (27), passing efficiency (155.10) as well as 10th for passing yards (2,800) and 11th for completion percentage (.616) … had a plus-22 margin for touchdowns to interceptions, which was tied for the second-highest single season ratio in program history behind only the plus-23 margin from Tony Pike in 2009.
- Closed the season as the Big 12 leader for both passing yards per completion (13.5) and passing efficiency (155.1), ranking 13th and 17th nationally in the two categories … was fourth in the Big 12 and tied for 15th nationally with his 27 passing touchdowns … ranked third in the league and 23rd in the FBS with 281.7 yards of total offense per game as well as fourth in the Big 12 for passing yards per game (233.3).
- Threw for at least 300 yards in three different games against Bowling Green (9/6), at Kansas (9/27) and versus BYU (11/22) … totaled more than 300 yards of total offense in one other game thanks to 282 passing yards and 59 rushing yards in the regular-season finale at TCU (11/29) … nearly reached 300 yards of total offense in two other games with 253 passing yards and 39 rushing yards against Northwestern State (9/13) as well as 284 passing yards and 13 rushing yards in win at Oklahoma State (10/18).
- Found the end zone using his legs in eight different games, including five times during Big 12 play … rushed for at least 50 yards in five different games, which included a season high 96 rushing yards (on 13 carries) in the opener versus Nebraska (8/28) … performance versus the Huskers included two rushing touchdowns, matching his career high … was one of only nine power conference quarterbacks with at least 2,500 passing yards and nine rushing touchdowns on the season.

- Helped lead Cincinnati to modern-era school records for total touchdowns (10) and largest margin of victory (70) the next week in a 70-0 rout of Northwestern State … finished a perfect 15-of-15 with 253 passing yards and five passing touchdowns, all in the first quarter … became the first Big 12 quarterback to throw for five touchdown passes in a single quarter and the first FBS quarterback to do so since 2015 … marked only the fifth time since 1995 for an FBS quarterback to have 15 or more attempts without an incompletion … was the second time a Cincinnati quarterback had done so during that time frame, joining Gunner Kiel, who was also 15-of-15 in a 2015 victory over UCF … his 99.8 QBR ranked as the second-highest in Big 12 single-game history … also rushed twice for 39 yards and another touchdown, giving him a career-high six total scores in the win.
- Pushed Cincinnati to a memorable 37-34 victory at Kansas in the Big 12 opener after completing 29-of-43 passes – both season highs – for 388 yards and two touchdowns … also rushed 13 times for 52 yards, giving him 440 yards of total offense in the win, which ranked sixth all-time in Cincinnati single-game history … marked a season high for total offense and was the second-highest total of his Cincinnati tenure … led the Bearcats to a final two-minute drive to win after Kansas took a 34-30 lead with 1:45 remaining … powered the Bearcats on a 10-play, 75-yard drive over 1:16 that ended with a two-yard rushing touchdown by Tawee Walker … marked the first time Cincinnati delivered a game-winning drive in the final two minutes of a game since the 2020 AAC Championship versus Tulsa … was Cincinnati’s first game-winning drive with less than two minutes remaining on the road since defeating USF in 2019 … named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for the second time on the season (also after Northwestern State) for his performance.

- Totaled 300 yards of total offense in each of the final two games of his Cincinnati tenure, beginning with his fifth career 300-yard passing outing versus BYU … was 25-of-38 for 300 yards and two touchdowns versus the Cougars to go along with eight rushes for 38 yards … followed by throwing for 282 yards and three touchdowns in the regular-season finale at TCU on 23-of-33 passing … carried 10 times for 59 yards versus the Horned Frogs, including a 41-yard scamper that matched his career long.
- 2024 SEASON (SOPHOMORE): emerged as one the nation’s top dual-threat quarterbacks in his first season as a Bearcat … was one of only four players in the country to pass for at least 2,800 yards and 18 touchdowns, while also rushing for nine scores … garnered All-Big 12 honorable mention accolades by the conference coaches following the season.
- Completed 249-of-389 passes for 2,813 yards and 18 touchdowns with only seven interceptions … added 447 rushing yards and nine scores on the ground, giving him 3,260 yards of total offense on the season … his nine rushing touchdowns were the third-highest total by a Cincinnati quarterback behind only Desmond Ridder in 2020 (12) and Tony Kapetanis in 1979 (11).
- Impressive debut placed his name in the Cincinnati single-season record book, ranking sixth for total offense (3,260), completion percentage (64.0) and total plays (494) as well as ninth for passing yards (2,813) … finished third in school history for single-season completions (248) and fifth for attempts (389) … his completion percentage ultimately ranked third in the Big 12.
- Best performance on the season came against his new school in Texas Tech … completed 31-of-45 attempts for a career-high 426 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing 12 times for 52 yards in a 44-41 shootout loss … his 478 yards of total offense were the most in a single game by a Big 12 player in 2024 and the fourth-highest total by a power conference quarterback … marked the fifth-most yards of total offense and the ninth-highest passing game in Cincinnati history … his 426 passing yards marked the third-highest total in the Big 12 that season.
- Began the season with 148-consecutive passes without an interception – the longest streak to start the season by an FBS quarterback … first interception of the year came against the Red Raiders via a 51-yard pick-six to A.J. McCarty … streak started with an impressive debut by completing 22-of-31 passes for 383 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener versus Towson (8/31) … rushed five times for five yards and a pair of scores in the win as well.
- Broke the 100-yard rushing mark late in the season at Iowa State (11/16) with 13 carries for 143 yards and a touchdown … marked the third-most rushing yards by a Cincinnati quarterback since 1995 … completed 10-of-18 passes for 66 yards in the road loss as well … later rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in the regular-season finale versus TCU (11/30) … completed 21-of-34 passes for 160 yards and an interception in a 20-13 loss to the Horned Frogs.
- Surpassed 300 yards of total offense to start the month of November with 279 passing yards and a touchdown on 25-of-36 attempts versus West Virginia to go along with 14 carries for 48 yards and another score … came close to totaling 300 yards of total offense early in the season versus Pittsburgh (9/7) before finishing with 298 passing yards and three touchdowns on 22-of-38 attempts but rushed for negative-5 yards on eight carries.
AT INDIANA (2022-23)
- Spent first two collegiate seasons at Indiana, redshirting as a true freshman in 2022 before taking over as the Hoosiers’ starter the following year … combined to throw for 1,595 yards and 15 touchdowns over 11 games, including seven starts, as a Hoosier, while rushing for 266 yards and four scores … vast majority of his stats was from his 2023 redshirt freshman campaign.
- 2023 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): tabbed Indiana’s starting quarterback to begin the season, ultimately playing in 10 games as a redshirt freshman with 10 starts … finished with 1,587 passing yards and 15 touchdowns to only five interceptions … used his legs to rush 113 times for 276 yards and four touchdowns as well.
- Made his first career start at home versus No. 3 Ohio State (9/2), completing 8-of-16 passes for 58 yards … served as a backup the next five games before returning as Indiana’s starter for its home game versus Rutgers (10/21) … previously threw his first career touchdown pass at Maryland (9/30) on an 11-yard connection with Donaven McCulley in the fourth quarter … added a 16-yard touchdown pass to Andison Coby later in the fourth quarter, finishing 7-for-11 for 84 yards in the loss.
- Started the final six games of the season beginning with Rutgers … completed 15-of-31 passes for 126 yards and a touchdown versus the Scarlet Knights, while rushing 11 times for 49 yards and another score … first career rushing touchdown came via a 4-yard scamper in the second quarter.
- Best three-game stretch of the season began at Penn State (10/28) with 269 yards through the air and three touchdowns on 13-of-19 passing … marked the first start on the road in his career … explosive in the passing game with a 90-yard touchdown pass to DeQuece Carter in the first quarter and a 69-yard scoring strike to Donaven McCulley in the second quarter … became the first Indiana quarterback since at least 1996 to throw multiple 60-yard touchdown passes in a single game … marked the first time the Hoosiers had two 60-plus yard offensive touchdowns in a game since 2014 … his 90-yard touchdown pass gave Indiana an early 7-0 lead and marked the third-longest passing play in school history … later found Omar Cooper Jr. for a 26-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter … was the first of three games with three or more touchdown passes on the season.
- Pushed the Hoosiers to a victory over Wisconsin (11/4) after completing 19-of-31 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown … gave Indiana an early 7-0 lead on an eight-yard touchdown run to cap the opening drive of the game … later found Donovan McCulley on a 7-yard touchdown pass just before halftime for a 17-7 lead.
- Followed with a season-high 289 passing yards at Illinois (11/11) after completing 22-of-33 passes, including three for touchdowns … totaled five touchdowns altogether after rushing 17 times for 53 yards and two scores on the ground … helped Indiana send the game to overtime with 28 seconds remaining on a 26-yard touchdown pass from DeQuece Carter … previously ran from a 5-yard touchdown earlier in the quarter to help the Hoosiers overcome a 12-point deficit … Indiana led 27-12 in the first half after two touchdown passes from 6-yards out and a 18-yard rushing score.
- Closed the regular season by completing 19-of-34 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns versus Michigan State (11/18) … set a season high with 54 rushing yards in the loss as well … posted a 17-of-31 passing day a week later at Purdue (11/25), finishing with 226 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 44 yards on 15 carries … the Hoosiers averaged 32.3 points per game over the final three contests, dropping three one-possession games.
- 2022 SEASON (FRESHMAN): redshirt season … appeared in only one game, making his collegiate debut against Penn State (11/5) … completed 3-of-6 passes versus the Nittany Lions for eight yards … tabbed the offensive scout team player of the week against Western Kentucky (9/17).
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Lake Dallas High School in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex … underrated prospect coming out of high school with no FBS offers until right before National Signing Day … played for head coach Jason Young as part of a Lake Dallas staff that also featured Spencer Leftwich – the father of Texas Tech offensive coordinator Mack Leftwich – as the offensive line coach.
- Recognized as the Denton Record-Chronicle Quarterback of the Year as a senior after throwing for 1,271 yards and 14 touchdowns, while rushing for 823 yards and 15 touchdowns … numbers came despite missing a few games due to injury … averaged 305.6 total yards a contest over his seven total games … garnered second team All-District 7-5A Division II honors that season.
- Listed as a three-star prospect coming out of high school by the likes of ESPN, 247Sports and On3 … top-100 recruit in the state of Texas by ESPN, ranking No. 82 overall … was the No. 32 overall quarterback in the country by ESPN as well.
- Ultimately chose Indiana out of high school after the Hoosiers offered him a scholarship shortly before National Signing Day … was offered by a wide range of FCS schools, including Abilene Christian, which will travel to face the Red Raiders to start the 2026 season.
