- Joined the Red Raiders prior to spring practices with three seasons of eligibility remaining at Texas Tech ... hails from the same high school former Texas Tech running back Tahj Brooks attended – Manor High School ... chose Texas Tech over an offer from Ohio State upon entering transfer portal.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
- Spent first two seasons of collegiate career at the University of Southern California ... utilized redshirt during first season with the Trojans ... played in 17 games at USC over two years, seeing action in five games as a true freshman (2023) while playing in all 12 regular season games as a redshirt freshman (2024).
- Combined for 603 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 81 carries over his two seasons as a Trojan … also caught 13 passes for 96 yards and an additional touchdown … bulk of statistics came during 2024 redshirt freshman season where he finished second on the team for rushing yards.
- Credited with 264 offensive snaps by Pro Football Focus during his two years at USC with 210 of those coming during his 2024 redshirt freshman season … received an 80.5 overall grade by the publication in 2024, which included a stellar 90.0 grade as a rusher … accounted for 32 missed tackles forced during his two seasons, resulting in 333 yards after contact.
- 2024 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN at USC): was the Trojans' second-leading rusher, posting 478 yards on the ground and three rushing touchdowns over 12 games ... missed only USC’s appearance in the Las Vegas Bowl after entering the transfer portal … in addition, posted 12 receptions for 89 yards and one touchdown, producing a season all-purpose yardage total of 567 yards ... the 567 all-purpose yards ranked as the fourth-most by a USC player in 2024.
- Explosive with the ball in his hands with 15 carries of 10 or more yards on the season and five of at least 20 yards … averaged 7.6 yards per rush on 63 carries ... also caught four passes of at least 10 yards.
- Began the season with four carries for 12 yards and one catch for four yards in a neutral site versus LSU in Las Vegas (9/1) ... posted single-game season highs in carries (10), rushing yards (84) and rushing touchdowns (2) in the Trojans’ home opener versus Utah State (9/7) … matched his season high for carries and came close to his rushing total in the regular-season finale versus Notre Dame with 10 carries for 83 yards … also caught one pass for 13 yards in what would be his final game at USC.
- Other notable performance came versus Penn State (10/12) with three carries for 82 yards, which included a 75-yard touchdown scamper that was the longest play from scrimmage by a Trojan in 2024 … marked the longest rushing attempt of his career thus far … the touchdown came on the first play of USC’s second drive, giving the Trojans a 7-3 lead at the time … found the end zone again in the second quarter on a nine-yard touchdown catch early in the second quarter … finished with two catches for 12 yards versus the Nittany Lions.
- Previously had three rushes for 23 yards and two catches for six yards on the road at Michigan (9/21) and then six carries for 49 yards and one catch for 10 yards against Wisconsin (9/28) ... had four carries for 44 yards at Minnesota (10/5) ... followed the Penn State performance with three carries for six yards at Maryland (10/19) and then three more carries for 14 rushing yards as well as one catch for 10 yards against Rutgers (10/25) ... began the month of November with six carries for 38 yards at Washington (11/2) ... tallied seven carries for 19 yards and also recorded one catch for five yards versus Nebraska (11/16) ... recorded four carries for 24 yards and tallied two receptions for 20 yards at UCLA (11/23).
- 2023 SEASON (FRESHMAN at USC): enrolled at USC in the spring of 2023 after graduating a semester early from high school ... saw action in five games as a true freshman – versus San Jose State (8/26), Nevada (9/2), Stanford (9/9), at Notre Dame (10/14) and in the Holiday Bowl versus Louisville (12/27).
- Recorded 18 carries for 125 yards (6.9 avg.) with a long of 47 yards and scored one touchdown, while also catching one pass for seven yards ... had five carries for 34 yards (6.8 avg.) against San Jose State to start the season ... recorded four carries for 65 yards (16.3 avg.) and one touchdown against Nevada ... found the end zone for the first time in his career on a 47-yard touchdown scamper with 9:09 remaining in regulation to give USC a 59-14 lead at the time … also had one reception for seven yards against the Wolf Pack ... followed with five carries for 14 yards (2.8 avg.) versus Stanford and then added two carries for 11 yards against Notre Dame ... had two carries for one yard in the Holiday Bowl versus Louisville.
HIGH SCHOOL
- Attended Manor High School just outside of Austin, Texas … excelled at the same high school that produced Tahj Brooks, who became Texas Tech’s all-time leading rusher during the 2024 season …
- Named to the All-District 25-6A first team as a senior after rushing for 1,794 yards and 25 touchdowns on 196 carries (9.2 avg.) … added five receptions for 73 yards that season en route to earning third team All-State accolades by the Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) … contributed to special teams with three kickoff returns for 106 yards (35.3 average) … was also Manor’s punter, booting 14 attempts for 408 yards (29.1 average) with a long of 46 yards.
- Selected as the District 11-5A MVP as a junior after rushing for an impressive 2,494 yards and 31 touchdowns on 223 carries, averaging 11.2 yards an attempt ... was the leading rusher in all of Class 6A … named a first team All-State selection by the TSWA … also caught nine passes for 100 yards and two touchdowns to help lead Manor to the area round of the Class 5A Division I playoffs.
- Previously rushed for 613 yards on only 67 carries (9.1 yards per carry) and five rushing touchdowns as a sophomore … was a first team All-District 11-5A selection in his first season on varsity … caught five passes for 33 yards as well that season.
- A three-sport athlete having also played baseball and competed in track and field ... ran 11.06 in the 100 meters and threw a shot-put personal record of 49-feet in the spring of 2022 ... ran a 10.99 in the 100 meters and posted a 45-8 shot put at the AAU Junior Olympics Games in May 2021.
- Selected to compete at the 2023 All-American Bowl and the 2023 Polynesian Bowl following his senior season … considered a four-star prospect by the likes of 247Sports, ESPN and Rivals … ranked as high as No. 4 among running backs in the 2023 class by 247Sports and was No. 89 nationally by the publication … listed at No. 5 among running backs by Rivals and at No. 98 in its national database … consensus top-100 recruit in Texas by all three publications, ranking as high as No. 17 by 247Sports.
