Vaulted in all seven meets, going over 17 feet six times and 18 feet in two of his final three meets โฆ qualified for nationals with an 18-0.5โ (5.50m) at the Matador Qualifier before going 18โ-3.75โ (5.58m) at the Big 12 Championships to place third โฆ the two jumps count for third and second in Tech history, respectively ... placed 13th at the NCAA Championships.ย

McMichaelย vaulted in nine outdoor meets for the Red Raiders, ending the season with an outdoor Texas Tech record height ... started his first two meets with first-place finishes at the UTSA Invitational (5.15m/16-10.75) and Wes Kittley Invitational (5.20m/17-0.75) ... at Texas Relays, McMichael took a No. 5 finish at 5.06m/16-7.25 ... his next personal-best was at the Texas Tech Red Raider Shootout, where he cleared 5.25m/17-2.75 that allowed him second-place ...
