No. 1 Red Raiders set for Clearwater Invitational

Tech to play six games in the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational starting Thursday
LUBBOCK, Texas – No. 1 Texas Tech will make its way to Clearwater, Florida for the second-straight year as they compete in the Shriners Children's Clearwater Invitational put on by ESPN.
The Red Raiders (6-0) will play six games while in Florida, including top 25 matchups against No. 6/7 Florida State on Thursday at noon, No. 23/RV FAU on Friday at 3 p.m. and No. 8/11 Nebraska at 5 p.m. on Sunday. The game against the Seminoles (5-0) will be televised on ESPN2 while the game against the Huskers is on ESPN with all other games being on ESPN+.
Along with the three-ranked matchups, Tech will also play Northwestern Thursday at 5 p.m. followed by NC State and James Madison back-to-back on Saturday starting at noon.

The team's 64 runs on opening weekend shattered the previous record of 43 set in 2019. It is also more than the last two opening weekends run totals combined. It was also the most HRs on opening weekend for the Red Raiders (12) in program history.
