All-American joins Tech after three seasons at Florida State
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech softball announced the signing of All-American Jaysoni Beachum on Friday. Beachum comes to Lubbock after three seasons at Florida State.
Beachum comes to Tech having amassed over 200 hits with 37 home runs and 180 RBI while hitting .375 during her career. She was named to the All-ACC First Team, NFCA All-Region First Team and Softball America All-American Second Team this past season after hitting .406 with 10 home runs and 69 RBI. Also has a great eye at the plate as she drew 54 walks to just eight strikeouts.
The rising senior shined in her freshman season, hitting .417 with 16 home runs and 66 RBI as she earned TUCCI/NFCA and D1Softball Freshman of the Year honors and was named an NFCA Second Team All-American for her efforts. Beachum also finished in the top 10 for USA Softball National Player of the Year in 2024 and was on the top 50 watchlist for USA Softball National Player of the Year this past season.
"Jaysoni is a huge addition to our program due to her ability to hit for both power and average along with her proven proficiency at driving in runs," said Gerry Glasco. "She will join Mia Williams as one of those rare players that can hit .400 and drive in 75 plus RBI while only striking out a handful of times in a year. We are thrilled to add her offensive and defensive versatility to our already versatile roster. This roster is filled with great athletes which will allow us to combine talent in different ways to create great defensive and offensive lineups this coming season."
