MEDIA CREDENTIALS //
Media members covering the Texas Tech softball program at Rocky Johnson Field during the 2025 season must be issued a working credential from the Texas Tech Athletics Communications office.
• All requests for both media and photo credentials must be made via e-mail at least a day in advance to Jay Strader, Associate Director for Athletic Communications (jay.strader@ttu.edu).
• Requests are honored from sports editors of daily and weekly newspapers, editors of sports periodicals, and sports directors of radio and television stations who broadcast regularly scheduled daily sports reports and talk shows.
• Credentials can be picked up in the Athletics Communications office (east side of Jones AT&T Stadium, third floor) or at will call, which is located at the ticket booth outside the stadium’s front gate.
PRESS BOX SERVICES //
A complete NCAA box score and pertinent game facts will be distributed to members of the working media following the conclusion of the game. Game notes, statistics, lineups, and rosters are provided prior to first pitch. A food voucher will be given out to any media members in attendance in the press box area.
PHOTOGRAPHERS //
Photographers are permitted to shoot around Rocky Johnson Field in approved areas. All photographers must be issued a working credential by the Athletics Communications office to gain access to the facility.
RADIO BROADCASTS //
The Rocky Johnson Field press box houses two radio booths in addition to seating for print media members. Both radio booths are equipped with phone lines for radio crews wanting to broadcast Texas Tech games. For information on the phone lines, please contact Jay Strader in the Athletics Communications office.
WEEKLY MEDIA AVAILABILITY //
During the season, head coach Gerry Glasco and select players will be available for the media one day prior to each home series or travel day. For player requests, please contact Jay Strader. Interviews will take place at the softball clubhouse or via zoom. Please contact Jay Strader if you are unable to attend and would like to schedule an outside interview.

VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS/NEWS CONFERENCES //
Video from news conferences and games will be available to the media via FTP. Broadcast quality video footage (game highlights, post-practice interviews, postgame interviews, etc) are available at www.texastech.com/watch (TexasTech+).
LIVE TELEVISION //
Television stations are welcome to conduct live interviews from Rocky Johnson Field as the stadium easily accommodates network game coverage. Live interviews can be conducted down the right field line. Television trucks can be parked in that area just outside the stadium fence. Please notify Jay Strader at least 24 hours in advance for live television setup.

PHOTO/VIDEO REQUESTS //
All still photography requests of Texas Tech players and coaches must be emailed to Jay Strader. For Texas Tech’s head shots and video footage email Jay Strader for the request.
PRACTICES //
All practices are open to the media and the public except for those held in the indoor hitting facility due to spacial constraints. Please contact Jay ahead of time if you plan on attending practice and for more information on practice times and availability.
POST GAME INTERVIEWS //
Texas Tech players and head coach Gerry Glasco will be made available to the media outside the home dugout following a brief cooling off period. Please contact Jay Strader with any player media requests prior to the conclusion of the game. The Texas Tech locker room will remain closed.
USE OF AUDIO/VIDEO //
Any media entity collecting any sort of “video or audio materials” (film, traditional video or audio, digital video or audio, photos, etc.) from Texas Tech University Athletics game events or press conference/media events may use that material only for traditional television newscasts, web-based or print coverage, or other electronic transmission as approved by the University in writing, with a limitation of up to three (3) minutes in length from any single event. Such media entity may not offer any live video, audio or other coverage of the event without the advance, written permission of Texas Tech University Athletics.
This policy includes all games, matches and events involving any of Texas Tech’s athletic programs. It includes all media events -- press conferences, pre/post-practice interviews and pre/post-game interviews. An exception would be a one-on-one interview arranged through the Texas Tech Athletics Communications office with a Texas Tech, coach, athlete or administrator.
