Roster/Team Notes:
- Texas Tech's 2026-27 roster features 10 individuals. Eight are returning from last year's roster, while it welcomes one junior transfer, Alvaro Pastor (Tarleton State/Spain), and one freshman, Samuel Gonzalez (Colombia).
- The Red Raiders' returning players include four seniors: Adam Bresnu (Morocco), Ben Gregg (Texas), Price Hill (Texas) and Tim Wiedemeyer (Germany); two juniors: Luke D'Alise (Texas) and Connor Graham (Scotland); and two sophomores: Simon Hovdal (Sweden) and Brady McHenry (California).
- The roster is headlined by Bresnu and Wiedemeyer, who were each named to the preseason watch list for the 2026 Haskins Award. The award annually recognizes the most outstanding NCAA Division I male college golfer. Seven of the 25 golfers on this year's preseason Haskins Award list carry over from last spring's list, including Texas Tech's Bresnu and Wiedemeyer.
- Bresnu and Wiedemeyer also opened the season each ranked in the PGA Tour University preseason top 10. Wiedemeyer debuted at No. 4, while Bresnu was No. 9 in the rankings released Sept. 9. Texas Tech entered the 2026-27 season as the only team in the country with multiple players ranked in the top 10 of the PGA Tour University Ranking for the Class of 2027.
- The Golf Channel announced Aug. 31 that the Red Raiders were its preseason No. 5-ranked team, with three Red Raiders earning preseason All-America honors. Bresnu and Wiedemeyer were named to the second team, while Connor Graham was named to the third team.
- Bresnu, Graham and Wiedemeyer each enter the 2026-27 season ranked inside the top 30 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).
- The 2026-27 squad will look to lead Texas Tech back to the NCAA Championships, with the road to Carlsbad, California, beginning in Lubbock as the Red Raiders are one of six NCAA regional host sites leading into the 2027 NCAA Championship. A regional appearance would be Texas Tech's 25th straight NCAA postseason appearance.
- Texas Tech's streak of NCAA Championship appearances was snapped at the 2025 NCAA Corvallis Regional, as the Red Raiders missed out on a spot in the NCAA Championships for the first time in six years by four shots. The Red Raiders have qualified for the NCAA Championships 17 times in program history, and head coach Greg Sands has led them to 13 of those appearances.
