Women’s Tennis Heads to Colorado for ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains

Jennifer Jackson and Kailo Teso are set to make their Red Raider debut
LUBBOCK — The Texas Tech women's tennis team is set for a trip to Colorful Colorado this weekend, hitting the courts at the U.S. Air Force Academy to compete in the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains.
Competition will commence on Friday, Sept. 25 at approximately 10:00 AM CT with doubles action, singles play to follow. Both Saturday and Sunday action will follow the same scheduling.
Among those making the trip are Jennifer Jackson and Kaili Teso, each set to make their Lady Raider debut. Teso, a freshman, joins the squad after a successful international junior career. A Japan native, Teso boasts a career-high ITF women's ranking of No. 91. Since 2024, Teso has tallied 27 wins on the women's circuit and will look to translate her pro success onto the collegiate courts.
Jackson, meanwhile, comes to Lubbock after an extremely successful freshman campaign at TCU. There, Jackson compiled a 13-3 singles record while racking up a multitude of honors including 2026 Big 12 Freshman of the year. Impressively, she also delivered a perfect 6-0 performance across singles and doubles play at the 2026 Big 12 Tournament, earning her the Big 12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player award. Jackson will aim to continue the collegiate success this weekend, now boasting the Double T,
Ella Brownback, Raegan Farm, Havana Kadi, Teodora Prisadnikova and Polina Sleptsova, will also be competing this weekend, each having already opened their seasons on a high note. Brownback, Farm and Sleptsova each already have one championship tally this fall, dominating their respective flights at the ACU Invitational in Abilene last weekend.
Brownback went a perfect 3-0 in singles en route to the Flight A championship. She opened the weekend with a hard-fought 4-6, 6-4, 11-9 victory over Ujin Batsukh, ultimately besting Allie Bittner, 6-2, 6-3, to secure the Flight A title.
Farm also went undefeated in singles, dropping just one set across three matches. In the Flight B championship, she battled back from an opening-set loss to defeat Maya Chen, 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 and bring home the crown. Sleptsova, meanwhile, dominated her way through Flight D, winning all three of her matches in straight sets to claim the championship.
Prisadnikova also opened her fall season at ACU, despite dropping her opening match of the weekend, she added a pair of wins in the Flight A consolation draw, defeating Julia Ionescu, 4-6, 6-1, 10-2, before topping Batsukh, 6-3, 4-6, 10-5.
Kadi spent her opening weekend out east in Cary, N.C., competing in the ITA All-Americans pre-qualifying draw, where she picked up one victory in the opening round. The sophomore will look to add some more wins to her stat sheet this weekend.
