Women’s Tennis to Face Baylor, Texas This Weekend

The Lady Raiders will host Baylor on Thursday, travel to Texas on Sunday
LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 29 Texas Tech Women's Tennis team is set for another week of play in the Big 12 as the Lady Raiders host Baylor on Thursday and travel to No. 7 Texas on Sunday.
The match on Thursday is scheduled for noon at the McLeod Tennis Center. Tech's match at Texas will begin at noon and fans can watch live on the Longhorn Network.
This is the 42nd meeting between the Lady Raiders (14-5, 4-1) and the Baylor Lady Bears (6-17, 1-4). Texas Tech trails in the all-time series, 15-26, but have won four of the last five meetings.
Sunday's match will mark the 53rd meeting all-time between the Lady Raiders and Texas (11-3, 4-0). Texas Tech has won four of the last six meetings including a 4-1 upset over the Longhorns to advance to the Elite Eight last season.
Texas Tech enters the matchup after a 1-1 weekend in the state of Kansas. The Lady Raiders fell to No. 17 Kansas, 4-2, on Friday before rebounding with a 4-3 win over No. 48 Kansas State.
Baylor enters the weekend after dropping the last two matches at Oklahoma State and Oklahoma.
No. 6 Texas enters the weekend undefeated in Big 12 play after defeating Oklahoma on Friday and No. 9 Oklahoma State on Sunday.

The Lady Raiders return to the McLeod Tennis Center to host Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in the Big 12 regular season finale. Texas Tech is set to face the Sooners on Friday, April 12, at 5 p.m. before closing the season with the Cowgirls on Sunday, April 14, at noon.
