LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lady Raider basketball team returns home this Wednesday, Dec. 4 to host Ole Miss for a Big 12/SEC Challenge game. The contest at United Supermarkets Arena is set to tip off at 7 p.m. CT on Fox Sports Southwest Plus.

The first 1,000 fans at Wednesday's game will get a free Texas Tech holiday t-shirt. Additionally, this game serves as a makeup game for Texas Tech students who have missed one of the first men's basketball games to get guaranteed entry into the Kentucky game.

ABOUT THE LADY RAIDERS
Off to the program's best start in eight seasons, the Lady Raiders enter Wednesday night's game fresh off a title run at the San Diego Thanksgiving Tournament that marked Tech's first tournament win in five years with the previous tournament win coming at the 2014 Athletes in Action Classic.

The 5-0 Lady Raiders boast a starting lineup with all five players averaging double-figure scoring, led by senior Brittany Brewer at 17.8 points per game to go along with 11.4 rebounds per contest and a nation-leading 5.8 blocks. 2019 Big 12 Freshman of the Year Chrislyn Carr has hit her scoring stride the last few games, scoring in double figures each of her last three appearances. Freshman Alexis Tucker has also impressed this season, racking up a pair of 20-point outings so far this season, leading all Big 12 freshmen in scoring at 15.8 points per game.

EYEING THE OPPONENT
The Ole Miss Rebels (5-3) are coming off an appearance at the Daytona Beach Invitational in which they tallied a 73-55 win over Alcorn State and a 58-50 loss to Pittsburgh. The Lady Raiders and Rebels share a common opponent in the Sam Houston State Bearkats, as the Rebels were able to tally a 75-69 win over the Bearkats at home last week. Deja Cage leads the Rebels in scoring at 15.3 points per game, and ranks eighth in the SEC. Ole Miss forces 20.4 turnovers per game, ranking third in the SEC, thanks in part to Valerie Nesbitt's 3.75 steals per game which ranks 11th nationally.

TEXAS TECH STORYLINES
- With a win on Wednesday, the Lady Raiders would begin the season 6-0 for the first time in eight seasons (2011-12) and the eighth time in program history.

- With two players averaging nine or more rebounds, the Lady Raiders are among the best rebounding teams in the country through the first two weeks of the season, outrebounding opponents and limiting second-chance opportunities. Tech ranks 14th nationally and third in the Big 12 in rebounding margin (+12.2).

- After five games, Texas Tech has held all five of its opponents to 60 or fewer points and less than 40 percent shooting from the field.

- The Lady Raiders are scoring the ball with great efficiency through three games of action this season. Tech's field goal percentage of .497 ranks fourth nationally and second in the Big 12. The team's percentage from long range (.388) ranks 19th in the country and first in the conference. The Lady Raiders' 84.4 point scoring average after game five ranks seventh nationally, and Tech boasts three players ranking in the top 25 of the Big 12 in scoring.

- Through three games, Texas Tech has an average scoring margin of +29.6 points per game ranking seventh in the country and second in the Big 12. In fact, the Lady Raiders have outscored four out of five opponents by 30 or more this season.
