OKLAHOMA CITY - Emily Bledsoe, Logan Hall and Mikey Kenney each earned spots on the All Big 12 second team as announced this afternoon by the conference, along with an adjusted schedule for the rain-soaked tournament.
Additionally, Bledsoe, Ashley Hamada, Holley Gentsch, Leah Legler and Danielle Matthews each picked up honors as first-team All Academic Big 12 honorees, with Gentsch being selected with a perfect 4.0 grade point average over the past two semesters.
No. 12 Texas' Blair Luna earned a majority of the individual honors as announced by the conference as the ace picked up pitcher of the year and freshman of the year honors. The Longhorns' Connie Clark was named Coach of the Year by her Big 12 peers as Texas won the regular season.
For Tech, the three second-teamers were the best total the Red Raiders have had since the 2008 squad had Jennifer Corkin, Leah Legler and Montana Patin on it.
As predicted here hours ago, and because the author is cleverly clairvoyant, the following adjusted game schedule has been proposed by event planners. However, please note that weather will continue to be a factor throughout the weekend and that there will likely be still more changes tomorrow. The best way to check on game times and opponents will be through either this site's schedule page or through the Big 12 site itself.
