Bio
Former Texas Tech outfielder Ashley Hamada enters her first season as the program[apos]s graduate student manager.
In this role, Hamada will be responsible for assisting the coaching staff in practice preparations and batting practice. She is also interning with the Texas Tech strength and conditioning staff where she regularly assists in the offseason development in each intercollegiate sport.
One of the best defensive outfielders in the country the past four years, Hamada ended her career in 2012 having not recorded a single error since midway through her freshman season. The right fielder, who was known for her highlight-worthy catches, finished sixth all-time in school history after playing in 216 games over four seasons.
In addition to her work in the outfield, Hamada was regularly honored for her efforts in the classroom as she was a two-time Capital One Academic All-District selection. She was also honored her final three seasons on the Academic All-Big 12 first team as well.
A native of Touchet, Wash., Hamada earned her undergraduate degree in exercise sports science in the spring of 2012. She is currently pursuing her master[apos]s degree in the field in hopes of becoming a collegiate strength and conditioning coach.
