Kenzie Brown joins softball staff

Former All-Big 12 Pitcher and All-American joins the staff in Lubbock
LUBBOCK, Texas โ Texas Tech softball announced the hiring of All-Big 12 and All-American pitcher Kenzie Brown to its staff on Thursday as the director of player development.
Brown spent her last three seasons at Arizona State where she was one of the premier pitchers in college softball turning in All-American seasons in her junior and senior years and earning a spot in the AUSL with the Portland Cascade.
"We are thrilled to have Mackenzie join our staff and work with our team," said Gerry Glasco. "She has a great mix of youth and competitiveness while also being extremely mature and intelligent. We believe her recent competing in the Big 12 and being one of the top players over the past two seasons will be a key addition to our staff as we look to maintain our spot and become a fixture as one of the top softball programs in the country."
Brown finished her collegiate career with a 50-25 record and amassed 676 strikeouts over 469 innings of work including recording over 250 strikeouts in her last two seasons while posting a 2.75 ERA. Brown helped Arizona State reach the NCAA Super Regionals after defeating Texas A&M in the College Station Regional.
"I am super excited to invest in these student-athletes and help them reach their potential while creating an impact both on and off the field," said Brown. "I am beyond grateful to join the staff at Texas Tech and am looking forward to the season ahead."
