- Hawkins established a new program single-season record with 226 assists and 6.5 assists per game… He finished the season also averaging 9.1 points per game and with six double-doubles… Hawkins had seven assists against No. 1 Florida in the final game of the season after he opened the NCAA Tournament by providing 14 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds in the First Round win over UNC Wilmington… Hawkins led Tech with 54 steals, averaging 1.54 per game… He scored a season-high 22 points in a road win at BYU in a game where he was 6-for-9 on 3-pointers along with adding five assists… He had seven games with double-figure assists during the season, including a season-best 12 at Arizona in a game with only one turnover… Hawkins led the Big 12 with a 3.28 assist-to-turnover ratio, 6.5 assists per game and 226 total assists… His assist total passed John Roberson in the record book with Roberson holding the record with 212 during the 2008-09 season… A senior from Washington, D.C., Hawkins finished his collegiate career having played 127 games and with 1,395 points and 814 assists… His 814 career assists are the fourth most among all active players and his 6.41 for his career ranked as the fifth most for all players
