2021 SEASON (SUPER SENIOR)
Once again a steady presence for the Texas Tech offensive line during final collegiate season … elected to the captains circle in a vote of his teammates … moved from his normal spot at right tackle to the interior of the line, starting in two games at center and the other 11 at right guard … ultimately started in all 23 games of his Red Raider career … made 48 career starts between his time at Wofford and then as a Red Raider … two starts at center came against TCU (10/9) and at Kansas (10/16) … one of four Red Raiders on offensive side to start in all 13 games, joining fellow offensive linemen Weston Wright and Caleb Rogers as well as wide receiver Kaylon Geiger Sr. … led the offense with 840 snaps on the season, grading out at 58.3 overall according to Pro Football Focus … received a 71.7 grade for his work in pass protection after hitting the 70.0 mark seven times overall … recorded his best overall grade of the season in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Mississippi State (12/28), finishing at 71.6 overall … credited with 79.1, 84.9 and 74.5 grades in pass protection over the first three games of the season against Houston (9/4), Stephen F. 2020 SEAS0N (SENIOR)
Started in all 10 games at right tackle during his first season as a Red Raider … has now started in 35-consecutive games dating back to his time at Wofford … gave the Red Raiders a veteran presence as the oldest member of an offensive line that allowed only 1.60 sacks per game … average ranked 30th nationally and third in the Big 12 for fewest sacks allowed … unit also closed the year averaging only 5.40 tackles for a loss per game, which ranked second in the conference … likely saved a touchdown early in the season after hustling to tackle Texas’ Chris Adimora on an interception that went deep in Red Raider territory … SENIOR DECISION: chose to return to Texas Tech following the season for one final year of eligibility as granted by the NCAA for the 2020 campaign.
