Landon Sean Darwin... born Sept. 7, 1993, in Gainesville, Texas... son of Kevin and Cheryl Darwin... has an older sister, Cecily...father, Kevin, played baseball at Southeastern Oklahoma State... uncle, Danny Darwin, played baseball at Grayson County College and signed a free agent contract with the Texas Rangers in 1976... pitched 21 years in Major League Baseball with eight different organizations, including eight years with the Texas Rangers (1978-84, 1995), six years with the Houston Astros (1986-90, 1996) and four years with the Boston Red Sox (1991-94) to name a few... won 171 games in his career with a 3.84 ERA in 716 appearances (371 starts) with 3,016.2 innings, 1,942 strikeouts and 874 walks... uncle, Jeff Darwin, played baseball at Alvin CC and was a 13th round draft pick in 1988 by the Seattle Mariners... played three years in the big leagues - one with Seattle and two with the Chicago White Sox... an energy commerce major at Texas Tech.
