Played at Panola College for one season (2014) for head coach Todd Shelton... as a sophomore played in 50 games while batting .260 with five doubles, a home run, 17 RBI and 25 walks... earned Academic All-Conference as a sophomore... team finished 30-23 overall and qualified for the NJCAA Region 14 Tournament... CHOSE TEXAS TECH OVER: Oklahoma State and Wichita State.
GOLDEN WEST COLLEGE
Played at Golden West College for one season (2013) for head coach Bert Villarreal... as a freshman played in 29 games (16 starts) batting .269 (21-for-78) with seven runs, four doubles, nine RBI, four walks, .321 on-base percentage and threw out 33 percent of would-be base stealers (3-of-9)... team finished 17-19 overall.
HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year varsity letterwinner at Marina High School for head coach Robert Marshall and Paul Renfrow... graduated in 2011... was a catcher and first baseman while in high school... earned first team all-league honors and was named a Kiwanis All-Star... also participated in football and soccer while in high school... played summer baseball for the California Heat... earned three varsity letters in all three sports... received academic honors as a prep.
