NOTABLES:
Freshmen Hailey Toney and Bailey Lindemuth recorded their first career home runs, as they went back-to-back on long balls in the seventh inning of game one against the Titans. Toney added a second home run in game two, which opened up the scoring.
Lindemuth also recorded her first career game as a pitcher, going 7.0 innings and allowing just two hits while striking out four. Her outing was incredibly efficient, needing just 59 pitches to record 21 outs.
NiJaree Canady picked up her third home run of the season on a 298-foot shot to left-center field in game one. Canady went 4-for-8 with six RBI on the day.
Lauren Allred also got going for Gerry Glasco's offense, she launched two home runs in game two after going 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in game one. Allred finished the day 6-for-9 with five RBI and 16 total bases.
Chloe Riassetto picked up her first win of the season after going 3.0 innings and allowing just three hits with five strikeouts in the second game against Detroit Mercy. Brenlee Gonzales came in relief for the final 2.0 innings and allowed one hit while striking out five batters.
Alana Johnson drove in four runs in the second game thanks to a bases-clearing double down the left field line as she came in to pinch hit. Mihyia Davis scored four runs and picked up three hits as Alexa Langeliers also had a multi-hit game going to 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Kiley Huffman went 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI thanks to a double she hit off the wall to clear the loaded bases.
This was the first time since they scored 23 against Tarleton St. in 2021. Tech also recorded 19 hits for the second time this season, the first being against UMass last weekend.
