
Texas Tech takes on Arkansas in Fayetteville

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raiders (9-2) are on the road for the second time this season with a game against the former Southwest Conference foe Arkansas Razorbacks on Sunday, December 15 at 2 p.m. in Fayetteville, Ark.
Arkansas leads the all-time series against Tech with a 19-9 record. The Razorbacks are on a two-game winning streak against the Lady Raiders as the two teams last played in the WNIT on March 24, 2023 with Arkansas winning by a 71-66 score. On Sunday, Tech is looking for its first win at Arkansas in program history.
The Lady Raiders are forcing 22.45 turnovers per game which ranks 25th in the NCAA and second in the conference. In addition, the Lady Raiders are holding teams to just 28.7 percent from beyond the arc and rank 47th nationally with 11.1 steals per game. The Lady Raiders have forced 20-plus turnovers in eight games this season so far and have forced at least 20 or more in six of the last seven games.
Texas Tech is second in the Big 12 and 36th in the NCAA with 29.1 bench points per game. The Lady Raiders had their most bench points against Missouri State, totaling 47 points in the game, more than half of the total points scored by the team that game (72). Arkansas has two players averaging double-figure scoring in Izzy Higginbottom with 23.5 points per game and Kiki Smith with 13.1. In rebounding, Vera Ojenuwa leads the team with 7.7 per game with Jenna Lawrence right behind with 7.3.
