Federici Stays Undefeated in Singles Play

Lady Raiders open play at the Georgia Bulldog Classic Friday
ATHENS, Ga. – Junior Sabrina Federici continued her undefeated streak with a three-set win over Georgia Tech's Nadia Gizdova in the opening day of the Georgia Bulldog Classic.
After dropping the first set, 6-7, Federici battled back and won two straight (6-3, 6-4) to claim one of Texas Tech's two singles wins against Georgia Tech.
Senior Lynn Kiro took a 6-2, 6-4 win over Alexa Anton-Ohlmeyer of Georgia Tech for the Lady Raiders' second singles win of the day.
The duo of Sarah Dvorak and Alba Cortina-Pou grinded out a 7-6 victory over Georgia's Laura Patterson and Marta Gonzalez.
The Lady Raiders return to the courts Saturday starting at 8 a.m. Tech will face Georgia State and Georgia Tech in doubles play before taking on Georgia in singles action.
