STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Brittney Martin scored 18 points with 11 rebounds and Roshunda Johnson added 14 points with four steals as No. 16 Oklahoma State defeated Texas Tech 66-35 in the Big 12 opener for both teams on Wednesday night.
The Cowgirls (11-2, 1-1) led 36-14 at halftime and outscored Texas Tech (11-3, 1-1) by a 14-2 margin in the paint and 8-0 on fast breaks. OSU scored 21 points off 18 Lady Raider turnovers. Liz Donohoe added 10 points for the Cowgirls.
The loss was Texas Tech's first since falling to North Carolina State in the Junkanoo Jam tournament in the Bahamas Nov. 29. The Lady Raiders had since put together a seven-game win streak. Oklahoma State improved to 9-0 at home.
Amber Battle scored 14 points to lead the Lady Raiders (11-3, 1-1), who shot 10 of 43 and were outrebounded 46-17.
