TEXAS TECH TEAM NOTES Texas Tech had its 13 game home winning streak snapped with the loss. It was previously the longest winning streak for the Red Raiders since early in the 2011 season.
The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for the Red Raiders.
The Red Raiders fell to 12-32 all-time against Baylor and 4-16 when playing in Lubbock.
The loss marked the largest margin of defeat for either team all-time in the Texas Tech and Baylor series. The previous high came on Feb. 9, 1996, when Baylor scored a 9-0 victory in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Baylor's 14 runs matched its most ever against Texas Tech in the series. The Lady Bears also scored 14 on April 6, 2007, in a 14-9 victory in Lubbock.
Baylor's 14 runs were the most allowed by the Texas Tech pitching staff that entered the series ranked third in the Big 12 in ERA. Baylor scored the most runs for a Texas Tech opponent since No. 5 Texas plated 15 on April 22, 2011, in Lubbock.
Baylor's five home runs and 14 hits were the most allowed by Texas Tech this season.
Baylor was the first ranked opponent the Red Raiders have faced all season as Texas Tech fell to 55-218 all-time against top-25 foes with the loss.
Texas Tech had not previously been run-ruled by an opponent since falling to No. 1 Oklahoma, 9-0, on April 13 last year in Lubbock.
Texas Tech's 12 strikeouts were its most at the plate since fanning 12 times against Baylor on May 2 last year in Waco.
Texas Tech's two hits marked a season low. It was the fewest hits for the Red Raiders since Oklahoma no-hit Tech on April 12 last year.
Lea Hopson's sixth-inning triple moves Texas Tech just one shy of the team single-season school record of 17 that was set in 1997.
Samantha Camello
Camello connected on a RBI double in the second inning for one of two Texas Tech hits in the game. It was Camello's sixth double of the year which matches her total from her 2013 freshman season.
Lea Hopson
Hopson recorded her third triple of the season in the sixth inning. She moved into a tie with teammate Sydni Emanuel as the pair are one shy of the Texas Tech single-season record.
