Boscher, Jackson Fall In Round of 16

Texas Tech's Katelyn Jackson lost in the Round of 16 at the USTA Collegiate Clay Court Invitational on Friday.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Play came to an end for No. 30 Texas Tech, as freshmen Hortense Boscher and Katelyn Jackson each fell in the Round of 16 on Friday at the 2014 USTA Collegiate Clay Court Invitational presented by VisitFlorida.com at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World.
Boscher, a native of France, fell to Clemson's fifth-seeded and No. 95 Tristen Drew, 6-1, 6-4 in the Flight A Round of 16.
Jackson, the former No. 1 junior player from Arkansas, lost to top-seeded and No. 79 Yukako Noi of Florida State, 6-3, 6-3, in the Flight B Round of 16.
Both players finished the tournament 1-1.
That concludes the fall season for the Lady Raiders, who will return to action on Jan. 16 in An Arbor, Mich., at the Michigan Invitational.
