LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's improbable run in the 2007 Big 12 Softball Championship began a little over 24 hours ago. Three wins later, and the tournament's No. 8 seed faces No. 2-seed Oklahoma at 3 p.m. in the title game on FSN.
The Red Raiders began the single-elimination tournament with a win over Oklahoma State in the play-in game early Friday afternoon. A win over top-seed Baylor in 12 innings Friday night coupled with a 4-3 win over Texas A&M Saturday morning has propelled the team to this afternoon's title game.
Texas Tech scored three runs in the seventh inning to come from behind against the Aggies, knocking off the nation's seventh-ranked team for the second-straight meeting.
