Tech Softball Hosts No. 5 Oklahoma

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Lady Raider softball team (16-36, 3-11) looks to play big against the Oklahoma Sooners (33-8, 8-5) after coming off two losses at No. 7 Nebraska. Tech will begin play tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Rocky Johnson Field, with the second game of the series starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Sophomore Kelly Rhyne is leading the team into the series with 46 hits and 23 runs, while junior Lisa Lawler hit a team high .600, going three-for-five against the Huskers. Head Coach Bobby Reeves is also seeking his 100th victory with 99 already under his belt entering the series against the Sooners.
The Sooners are coming off an 11-2 win over Oklahoma City, where the team logged 15 hits, which is a team high. Leah Gulla leads the team behind the plate with a .402 average, while the Sooners are lead at the mound by Kami Keiter who holds a .74 ERA.
