AMES, Iowa - The Texas Tech Red Raiders softball team ended a two-game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Iowa State Cyclones today in Ames. The win brings Tech to 17-32 on the season and 6-8 in conference. The Cyclones had a 2-0 lead until Kristi Tunnell knocked in a pair of runs with a two out single in the fourth inning. The Red Raiders went ahead in the sixth inning when Paula Workman bashed a solo homerun over the left-centerfield fence. The Red Raiders held the lead going into the seventh inning. With two-out and a runner on first, ISU's Lisa Frank came to the plate. She knocked a looping fly ball into centerfield. The ball nearly dropped for a hit but Sandy Butler, racing in from deep-center, made a diving catch to preserve the win. Tech and ISU are back in action tomorrow at 11 a.m.
