Men's Tennis finish weekend at ITA

As the weekend comes to an end, the Red Raiders close out their fall season on a good note. Borut Martincevic was the only Red Raider to compete on Sunday in the ITA Region VI Tournament in Fort Worth, Texas.
Martincevic entered the day 1-1 after falling to Alastair Jenkin from Texas, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4. In the next round, Martincevic advanced because his opponent Kareem Abdullah of UTPA fell ill. Advancing to the next round, he battled Texas' Ron Kloppert for three sets before falling 6-2, 4-6, 6-1. Martincevic finished the tournament 1-2.
Other Red Raiders participating in the ITA Region VI Tourney were Clay Estes and Patricio Espinosa. Estes went 1-1 in the tournament. He went 5-3 for the fall season. Espinosa closed out the weekend by going 2-1.
Espinosa and Estes teamed-up in doubles action to go 1-1 for the weekend. Martincevic and walk-on Chris Drumm battled in doubles to finish the weekend 1-1.
The Red Raiders will resume play next semester at their new tennis center off of Brownfield Highway in Lubbock, Texas.
