WACO, Texas - The Texas Tech women's tennis team lost to 47th-ranked Baylor University on Tuesday by a score of 9-0. The loss drops Tech to 4-13 overall (2-6 in Big 12).
Baylor swept all nine matches en route to the victory. Tech's Zana Zlebnik lost at No. 1 singles to 66th-ranked nationally Jahnavi Parekh, 6-2, 6-2. Sophomore Alenka Ovin played the Red Raiders strongest match of the day, losing to 53rd-ranked nationally Katja Kovac in three sets, 6-2, 6-7, 6-1.
The Red Raiders will be in action again Saturday, April 10 at Kansas State University. The match is slated to begin at 10:00 am.
