2016 SEASON (REDSHIRT SENIOR)
Became a staple on the defensive line in his lone season as a Red Raider … played and started in 11 games with the lone exception coming in the season finale against Baylor (11/25) … led the interior defensive linemen with 32 tackles (21 solo) … ranked eighth overall on the team for tackles … four of his tackles went for a loss which was tied for third on the team … also had a pass breakup and a fumble recovery … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS … began his Red Raider career with five tackles, including one for a loss, against Stephen F. Austin (9/3) … was one of six games on the year with at least two tackles … finished with two tackles against Louisiana Tech (9/17) … recorded two tackles for a loss at Kansas State (10/8) as part of a five-tackle performance … other tackle for a loss on the year came at TCU (10/29) … posted a season-high six tackles in road win over the Horned Frogs … previously had three tackles the week before against Oklahoma (10/22) … followed the TCU performance with a big game against Texas (11/5) … had five tackles and a pass breakup along with a fumble recovery that went 23 yards versus the Longhorns … ended his season with three tackles at Oklahoma State (11/12) and then a lone takedown at Iowa State (11/19).
