JUNIOR SEASON (2016) Appeared in 14 matches, making 10 starts … played in 35 total sets … seventh on the team with 80 kills … recorded 2.29 kills per set which was third on the team … posted first career double-double with 13 kills and 10 digs at Portland State (Aug. 27) … the 13 kills matched a career high set at Colorado (Aug. 26), while the 10 digs set a career high she would later match against West Virginia (Sept. 24) … set a career high with two aces against Abilene Christian (Sept. 9).
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015)
Appeared in 18 matches, starting 10, for a total of 39 sets played in her second season donning the scarlet & black ... put up a nice total of 69 kills during the 2015 season, improving her average from a year ago to 1.77 per set ... began the season with two strong hitting clips, going .667 against Columbia and .714 vs. Northeastern, recoridng four and five kills in those matches, respectively ... followed it up with an eight-kill performance against South Dakota State, never committing an error during that three-match stretch ... the eight kills would stand as a season-high, but she would throw down a trio of lucky 7's during conference play ... the first two came at home vs. No. 10 Kansas and TCU, followed by a 3-0 road victory at West Virginia ... she would add six more in the second match against the Mountaineers at home on Nov. 13 ... totaled 19.0 blocks and nine digs in 2015 ... was also named to the 2015 Academic All-Big 12 Second Team.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2014)
Was immediately a fixture for the Red Raiders, starting in 16 matches and appearing in 22 matches overall ... Ranked fifth on the team notching an impressive 100 kills, to the tune of 1.47 per set ... She was also a force on the defensive side at the net, totaling 42 blocks, good enough for third on the team ... Ybanez also had 30 digs, and added three assists ... Had easily the best match of her young career in a heart-stopping five-set win at Baylor, totaling 13 kills in just 24 swings and four huge stuffs at the net, leading Tech to its first win in Waco since 2005.
LOS OSOS HIGH SCHOOL
Talented outside hitter who led her team to three CIF finals, one CIF Championship and one state semi-final appearance ... She was also named offensive MVP of the team ... Earned All-CIF honors, and was a three-time All-League performer.
