More preseason honors roll in for Tech trio

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's golf trio of Adam Bresnu, Connor Graham and Tim Wiedemeyer added Golfweek preseason All-America honors to their respective resumes on Tuesday, as Golfweek announced its 2026-27 Men's College Golf preseason All-America team.
The Red Raiders share the nation's lead in selections with Florida and Oklahoma State, who also had three selections each. The three schools account for nine of the 30 All-America selections by Golfweek on Tuesday.
Bresnu and Wiedemeyer were named to Golfweek's second-team All-America team, while Graham was tabbed to the third team. Each of the Red Raiders was named to the same preseason All-America teams by Golf Channel on Monday.
Bresnu and Wiedemeyer enter their senior seasons after tying for the team's lowest scoring average in 2025-26 at 70.0. Bresnu recorded his 70.0 average over 36 rounds, while Wiedemeyer posted the same mark over 34 rounds. Wiedemeyer also captured his first collegiate victory at the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational at Olympia Fields Country Club, finished the season with six top-10 finishes, and tied for fifth at the NCAA Corvallis Regional.
Both Bresnu and Wiedemeyer were also named to the preseason watch list for the 2026 Haskins Award, presented by Stifel. The award annually recognizes the most outstanding NCAA Division I men's college golfer.
Graham returns for his junior season after earning first-team All-Big 12 honors for the first time in 2025-26. The Scotland native also earned PING All-Region honors for the second consecutive season and was selected to compete in his second Arnold Palmer Cup. Graham, who led the Red Raiders with a 71.1 scoring average as a freshman, has now earned preseason All-America recognition entering each of his first three seasons at Texas Tech.
The Red Raiders will open the 2026-27 season Sept. 13-15 at the Inverness Intercollegiate in Toledo, Ohio, before competing at three prestigious events in the opening month of the season. Texas Tech will return to Olympia Fields Country Club for the OFCC/Fighting Illini Invitational Sept. 18-20 before traveling to Colonial Country Club for the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational Sept. 28-29. The Red Raiders will then begin Big 12 Match Play competition Oct. 12-14 at Salt Lake City Country Club to close the fall season.
