Tech, Big 12, announce 2027 Baseball schedule

The Red Raiders will play 28 games against NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago including a pair of contests against the defending National Champions Oklahoma
LUBBOCK, Texas – As part of a joint announcement with the Big 12 Conference, Texas Tech Baseball and head coach Tim Tadlock have announced the Red Raiders full 2027 schedule Thursday.
Slated 56 total games beginning on Feb. 19-21 with a three-game set against NCAA Regional Finalists (UCLA Regional) St. Mary's, Tech will play 28 contests against NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago and will play two contests against CWS Champion Oklahoma (Mar. 3, May 3) as well as a contest against CWS participants Alabama (Feb. 28).
Following the home opener against St. Mary's, Tech will hit the road for six-straight games away from Rip Griffin Park beginning with a two-game road midweek series at UTSA (Feb. 23-24). The matchups with the Roadrunners will mark the first time since 2018 that Tech will play at UTSA and comes after the two sides split a midweek series in Lubbock back on Mar. 10-11.
After the midweek series in the Alamo City, Tech will make the short trip up I-35 to Round Rock where the Red Raiders will compete in the 2027 Round Rock Classic against Texas State (Feb. 26), La Tech (Feb. 27) and Alabama (Feb. 28).
The month of March kicks off at another MiLB ballpark as the first of two meetings with Oklahoma arrives on Mar. 2 in Frisco. The Red Raiders and Sooners will meet at Riders Field for the second time in three seasons after the 2026 matchup was canceled due to weather.
After the extended road trip to San Antonio, Round Rock and Frisco, the Red Raiders return home for a three-game series (Mar. 5-7) against the University of San Diego before hitting the road once again for back-to-back road weekends.
The first weekend will be a four-game trip (Mar. 11-14) to Oregon State before the Big 12 opening series arrives the following weekend at BYU (Mar. 18-20).
Easter Weekend brings the Baylor Bears (Mar. 25-27) to Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park for the start of a four-game homestand that also includes a Monday afternoon midweek against the Lobos of New Mexico (Mar. 29).
The busy five-game post-Easter week continues Mar. 30 with a neutral site contest against UTA in Midland. First pitch from Momentum Bank Ballpark is set for 7 p.m.
April arrives with a big weekend series (Apr. 2-4) against Kansas in Lawrence before the longest homestand (five games) of the year arrives on Apr. 6 with a midweek contest against ACU.
The homestand continues into the weekend when a three-game series with Cincinnati (Apr. 9-11) arrives before the homestand wraps-up with a midweek against DBU (Apr. 16).
Another four-game road swing brings the Red Raiders to Houston (Apr. 16-18) and New Mexico (Apr. 20) before another five-game homestand beginning on Apr. 21 against SFA gets underway. The homestand will also include a three-game series with Arizona State (Apr. 23-25) and a midweek against UTRGV (Apr. 27).
A four-game week will carry Tech into the Month of May as the final day of April sees Tech open a three-game series at rival Oklahoma State (Apr. 30-May 2) before finishing a long stay in Oklahoma with another midweek contest against the Sooners (May 3).
The penultimate homestand of the year features a huge three-game series with TCU (May 7-9) before the final road trip of the regular season sends the Red Raiders to Abilene for a Tuesday night (May 11) contest at ACU and a weekend series in Orlando at UCF (May 14-16).
The final week of the regular season sees the Red Raiders return to Lubbock for the final series of 2027 against Utah.
Returning to Surprise once again, the 2027 Big 12 Baseball Championship presented by Allstate is set for May 25-29.
NCAA Regionals will be contested on campus at the 16 host sites from June 4-7 before the NCAA Super Regionals will be held June 11-14. The 2027 season will once again end in Omaha as the 2027 NCAA Men's College World Series will be held June 18-28.
