LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech outfielder Logan Hughes (First Team) and infielder Tracer Lopez (Second Team) were named to the ABCA All-Midwest Region teams, the organization announced Tuesday.
A 2026 First Team All-Big 12 selection, Hughes had another big year for the Red Raiders in 2026, hitting .375 with 18 home runs and 71 RBIs. He walked 50 times and was hit by six pitches. He struck out just 33 times in 55 games.
Finishing with a team-best OPS of 1.263 thanks in large part to his .510 on-base percentage, Hughes became just the second Red Raider in program history to reach 20 career Big 12 home runs joining Josh Bard in that exclusive group.
A consensus top-50 prospect in next month's draft and a potential first round pick, Hughes in his two seasons at Texas Tech is a career .350 hitter with 37 home runs and 129 RBIs in just 107 career games. His 37 home runs are the seventh-most in program history.
Known for raising his game in conference play, Hughes is an all-time .384 (91-for-237) career hitter in Big 12 play and has hit 20 home runs and drove in 60 runs in those 60 contests.
Hughes' 60 career Big 12 RBIs are the fifth-most in program history while his 91 career hits are the ninth-most in program history. His .384 all-time Big 12 average is fourth all-time amongst Red Raiders.
The Red Raiders other ABCA All-Region selection, Lopez, had a career year in 2026, hitting .370 with 80 total hits.
Lopez set career highs in games played (55), starts (55), runs scored (57), hits (80), doubles (21), RBIs (39), total bases (110), average (.370), on-base percentage (.431) and slugging percentage (.509).
With the career year in 2026, Lopez became just the fourth all-time player with 200 games played and 200 hits, finishing his time with the Scarlet and Black with 243 total hits.
Lopez also moved in third in total games played (218) and seventh in total runs (174).
In 2026, Lopez was one of three Red Raiders to hit at least .370, as he launched a team-best and career-high 21 doubles amongst his team-leading 80 base hits.
By being named a First Team All-Region selection, Hughes is now eligible to earn ABCA All-America honors when the teams are released on Friday afternoon prior to the start of the 2026 Division I Men's College World Series.
The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Finalists are released on Monday, June 15, with the full Gold Glove teams announced on Wednesday, June 17.
