Vodickova named to Big 12 All-Tournament Team, Tech finishes sixth

DALLAS — Denisa Vodickova earned Big 12 All-Tournament Team honors as Texas Tech finished sixth at the Big 12 Championship on Saturday at Dallas Athletic Club.
Vodickova tied for 12th at 2-over 218 (72-73-73) across 54 holes to secure a spot on the all-tournament team. She closed with a 1-over 73, rebounding from a 2-over start to her round on the front nine. She responded on the final nine holes, shooting 1-under with a birdie and eight pars. The finish marks her fourth top-20 showing of the season and her second in the last three events following her win at the MountainView Collegiate.
Vodickova is the 13th Red Raider in the history of the program to be named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team and the first since Gala Dumez in 2024.Â
Cameron Freund added a second career top-20 finish, tying for 19th at 4-over 220 (72-73-75) after a final-round 75. Lauren Zaretsky narrowly missed the top 20, finishing tied for 24th at 5-over 221 (77-71-73) after matching Vodickova for the team's low round Saturday with a 1-over 73.
Klara Hurtova tied for 37th at 9-over 225 (81-69-75), while Maja Ambroziak placed 61st at 22-over 238 (80-81-77).
As a team, the Red Raiders carded an 8-over 296 in the final round to finish sixth at 19-over 883 (301-286-296), holding their position entering the day. Iowa State used a 7-under final round to claim the team title and the automatic bid for the NCAA Tournament.
Texas Tech will await its postseason destination with the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships Selection Show, set to air April 29 on Golf Channel.
