Rankings
Both the Tech men's and women's teams dropped three spots in this week's USTFCCCA rankings. The men are No. 7, while the women moved to No. 9.
What to Know
The majority of Red Raiders making this weekend's trip will be mainly sprinters along with throwers and pole vaulters.
Last weekend in Arkansas, 400m All-Americans Desean Boyce and Shaemar Uter opened their season running only on the 4x400 relay – the duo is slated to debut in the open 400m. Hurdler Naomi Krebs kicked off her season last weekend as well and will be back in the 60m hurdles on the same track in which she turned in a time of 7.97 – No. 3 all-time in Tech history.
On the pole vault side of things, Sean Gribble will look to improve his SB mark of 5.53m (18-1 ¾) as he currently holds the second-to-last spot (15th) when it comes to qualifying for nationals. Meanwhile, newcomer Sam Hurley, recorded his PB in Albuquerque last season clearing 5.52m (18-1 ¼). Â
