
Red Raiders head to Missouri for Gans Creek Classic

This will be the second road trip of the year for the Red Raiders
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech cross country team will travel to Columbia, Mo., for the Gans Creek Classic taking place Friday morning at the Gans Creek XC Course.

Tech will get an early preview of the championship course as it is set to host the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 22.
Friday's meet will be the third of the season for Red Raiders as they last competed two weeks ago hosting the Texas Tech Open. The men's team scored a total of 44 points for the first-place team finish and highlighted by Titus Kimaru crossing the line at 22:51 for the overall individual win. For his effort, Kimaru was named the Big 12 Runner of the Week – his second in as many races.
The men's side will be running an 8k while the women's team will be running a 6k. This race will be the second-to-last regular season meet before ending on the road again at the Arturo Barrios Invite in College Station.
