
Red Raiders complete Gans Greek Classic

The women’s team placed 4th as a team placing three runners in the top-37
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Texas Tech cross country team wrapped up its third meet of the regular season competing in the Gans Creek Classic Friday morning.

In the women's 6k race, the Red Raiders placed fourth overall scoring 166 points, led by Lily Mather in 10th place as she crossed the line with a new PB of 20:47.9. The scoring for Tech went down as 7-22-27-45-65. Second in the pack was Pauline Wanjiku who equaled her PB at 21:26.2. Jenna Carter followed at 21:36.6 as Lila Crowley set a new PB by over one minute with a time of 21:55.9. Crowley entered the race with a PB 6k time of 23:04.9. Hannah Spears capped off the scoring with a time of 22:10.9.
For a third-straight meet this season, Titus Kimaru paced the men's side as he placed 37th overall with an 8k time of 23:18.8. Kimaru held his own, maintaining a spot in the top-10 all the way through the 6k mark, before falling out in a field that featured 235 runners.
