ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Fresh off a dramatic come-from-behind victory on Sunday afternoon against Cincinnati, Texas Tech Baseball returns to action on Tuesday afternoon for a midweek contest at UNM.
After seeing its home contest against UNM postponed due to weather and the campus-wide power outages back on Mar. 18, Tech will make its lone trip to the ABQ on Tuesday afternoon.
The Red Raiders seek their second-straight victory at Santa Anna Star Field after last season's 11-8 road win. In that game senior Trendan Parish nailed down a save, after Dylan Maxcey pinch-hit and cleared the bases on a go-ahead three-run double.

HEADLINES IN 1-2-3:
* Texas Tech sandwiches a pair of home Big 12 weekends between Tuesday's trip to Albuquerque to face New Mexico. After blowing a 7-2 lead in the top of the seventh, Texas Tech used a five-run eighth inning to close out a series finale win over Cincinnati and avoid the series sweep. In the decisive eighth inning the Red Raiders got a key two-run double from Logan Hughes and a key RBI hits from Antonelli Savattere and Dylan Maxcey. In the victory Junior Zach Crotchfelt pitched the final 2.2 innings and did not allow a hit to record his second win of the season. The win snapped a six-game losing streak overall and a six-game conference losing streak.Â
* In the weekend series against Cincinnati, the Red Raiders got a 5-11 (.455) performance from Tracer Lopez and a 4-10 (.400) performance from Antonelli Savattere who also drove in three runs and homered. Outfielder Damian Bravo homered twice on the weekend to bring his career-high home run total to eight. Â The Red Raiders also got three strong outings from Jack Cebert, Zane Petty and Zach Crotchfelt over the weekend. Cebert who tossed a 105-pitch six inning outing where he didnt allow a run struck out eight, while Petty pitched six innings of three-run ball and struck out six. The Red Raiders third key performance on the mound game from Crotchfelt who pitched nearly three innings of no-hit ball and struck out four. He earned his second win of the season.
Â
* Sunday's win over Cincinnati also reached a key metric for the Red Raiders, as Tech recorded three shutdown innings out of four chances. The shutdown inning (a scoreless frame following a Tech inning where they score) continues to be a key contributor to Tech wins, as the Red Raiders are now 6-1 in games where they record at least three shutdown innings. The lone set back in the group is two Sunday's 5-4 loss at Kansas State. After scoring four times in the first, Zane Petty fired a scoreless first. After getting staked to a 5-1 lead in the third, Petty did allow a run in the fourth for the lone non-shutdown inning of the day. After Tech scored twice in the fourth, Petty fired a scoreless fifth. The other successful shutdown inning was the top of the ninth after Tech scored five times in the eighth.
