April 24, 2025 | Men's Golf
TULSA, Okla. –  Led by Big 12 All-Tournament Team honoree Connor Graham, the Texas Tech men's golf team earned its second Top 3 finish at the Big 12 Men's Golf Championship in the last three years on Thursday. The Red Raiders surged up the team leaderboard in the final round, shooting 6-under-par (274), leading all teams at Southern Hills Country Club for the top round of the final day to earn a third-place finish at the 2025 championship.
Graham was named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team for his Top 10 finish on the individual leaderboard as he earned a tie for seventh place after all scores went final after 72 holes. Graham, a freshman, shot his lowest round of the week on Thursday, carding a 2-under-par 68 to finish the event 2-over-par (282). Graham is the first Red Raider named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team since Ludvig Åberg in 2023 and is the first Red Raider freshman to earn the distinction since Wes Artac in 2015.
All four of the Red Raiders' countable scores on Thursday were single-round tournament lows for the week, respectively. Sophomore Tim Wiedemeyer shot a 3-under-par 67, which was not only a Texas Tech low score for the round but tied for the best round among all 80 players in the field during the fourth round. Senior Calum Scott carded an even-par 70 in the final round while senior Charlie DeLong posted a 1-over-par 71, despite a double bogey on the final hole of the day.
In addition to the lowest round, Wiedemeyer correspondingly made the biggest jump on the individual leaderboard among the Red Raiders in the field, vaulting 16 spots and into a tie for 14th place. It marks his third Top 20 finish of the season and fifth of his career. The 2025 championship was Wiedemeyer's first appearance in the event after not being in the lineup as a freshman.Â
Scott rose seven spots on Thursday and tied for 23rd while DeLong moved 13 spots up the leaderboard and into a tie for 34th.
Each of the 16 Big 12 teams will now wait for the NCAA Selection Show on Wednesday, April 30, live on the Golf Channel at Noon CDT for the reveal of teams that will compete in the NCAA regional round.
