Juliet Cherubet becomes the 8th women’s cross country runner for Tech to earn All-American honors
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Freshman Juliet Cherubet placed 18th with a 6k time of 19:40.10 as she earned All-American honors Saturday morning at the 2023 Cross Country NCAA Championships hosted by Virginia at Panorama Farms.

To earn All-American honors, runners must finish inside the top-40.

From the 1k mark all the way to the 5k mark, Cherubet did not drop out of the top-10 pack, reaching very early on as high as second (1k) with a split of 2:54.70. The final 1k saw Cherubet drop seven spots, ultimately finishing 18th en route to being the second-highest placing freshman – Alabama's Doris Lemngole finished second at 19:05.70.

Cherubet becomes Tech's first All-American cross country runner on the women's side since 2012 when Rose Tanui finished 35th.

The women's field was comprised of 254 runners.
