Cross Country Preview: Red Raiders Head to Chile Pepper Festival Friday

It will be the third regular season meet for both Red Raider programs
LUBBOCK, Texas. – The Texas Tech men's and women's cross country teams head to Fayetteville, Ark., for the running of the 33rd annual Chile Pepper Festival Friday afternoon hosted by the University of Arkansas.

The field is comprised of 79 teams with nationally ranked programs from Division I, Division II and NJCAAÂ levels.Â

Both Red Raider programs are back in action after competing at the stacked Cowboy Jamboree meet on Sept. 18. Halena Rahmaan paced the women's side with a top-45 finish, while Edward Rush crossed the end line first for the men's team inside the top-50.Â

The women's 5k race is set to start at 5 p.m. as the men's race will follow at 5:30 p.m.
