LUBBOCK, Texas – Junior right-hander Caleb Kilian led another strong effort on the mound and junior Josh Jung finished a triple short of the cycle as No. 15 Texas Tech baseball pulled away for a 10-2 win over No. 16 Oklahoma State to clinch the series victory Saturday night in front of a sold out Rip Griffin Park

The Red Raiders (28-13, 10-7) received six strong innings and eight strikeouts from Kilian (6-0), who earned his sixth Big 12 win in as many starts. Tech scored six runs over the seventh and eighth to extend a 4-2 lead into a commanding 10-2 advantage.

With its sixth straight victory over the Cowboys (25-15, 10-7), the Red Raiders have posted back-to-back series wins over ranked Big 12 foes and now sit in a three-way tie for second in the league standings.

Jung went 3-for-3 with two walks and homered for the second-straight day, connecting on a two-run shot in the third that put Tech in front 4-2. He singled in the fifth and doubled in the seventh for his fifth three-hit game of the season. Jung also scored three times to match his season high.

Senior Cameron Warren racked up three RBI in a 2-for-4 effort to bring his Big 12-leading total to 53rd on the season. After sophomore Gabe Holt opened the scoring in the bottom of the first, Warren made it 2-0 with an RBI single that brought in Dylan Neuse. Warren added two more RBI in the seventh with a two-run single through the right side that made it 6-2.

Tech held a 4-2 lead through six before turning the ball over to junior Taylor Floyd, who struck out four in his two innings of work. Freshman Hunter Dobbins closed it out in the ninth.

With 13 more strikeouts Saturday, the Red Raider pitching staff has accumulated 30 in the series to just five free passes. Tech has now outscored the Cowboys 22-6 for the weekend.

The Red Raiders will look go for the series sweep Sunday on Military Day at Rip Griffin Park. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. on FOX Sports Southwest Plus. Texas Tech will send sophomore right-hander Bryce Bonnin (3-1) to the mound, while Oklahoma State will go with redshirt freshman right-hander Brett Standlee (2-0).
