Sixteen Red Raiders are spending their summer playing for various teams across the country
LUBBOCK, Texas – Sixteen Texas Tech baseball student-athletes are spread across the country playing for various summer league teams.
Â
The 16 Red Raiders are spread through seven teams, with 12 representing Tech on five squads in the California Collegiate League and three in Northwoods League.
Â
Among the group is left-handed pitcher Steven Gingery, who will be donning the red, white & blue for the USA Collegiate National Team. He is scheduled to make his first start on Friday evening.

Infielders Brian Klein, Trevor Paradoski and Zach Rheams are all playing for the Rockford Rivets in the Northwoods League. In the California Collegiate League, RHP Ty Harpenau and LHP Erikson Lanning are taking the mound for the Conejo Oaks. Infielders Clay Koelzer & Cameron Warren, as well as outfielder Grant Little suit up for Healsdburg Prune Packers. Right-handed pitchers Andrew Davis & Caleb Freeman are playing for Neptune Beach Pearl, while outfielder Connor Beck & RHP Caleb Kilian are with the Orange County Riptide. Rounding out the summer league rosters are infielder Josh Jung, RHP Jake McDonald and OF/RHP John McMillon with Santa Barbara Foresters.

Gingery will make his USA CNT debut on Friday night against the Catawba Valley Stars in Cary, North Carolina. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.

ROCKFORD RIVETS – NORTHWOODS LEAGUE

BRIAN KLEIN (INF)
Klein has played in 11 games this season with the Rockford Rivets. In 43 at-bats, he's put together a .256 average, recording 11 hits, including four doubles, along with 11 runs scored and two RBI. He has three multi-hit games this summer, including a three-hit bid in a 5-3 win at Madison Mallards on June 20.

TREVOR PARADOSKI (INF)
Paradoski has suited up for 10 games this summer in Loves Park with the Rivets. Over 36 at-bats, Paradoski is hitting .333 behind 12 hits, with a double & a triple. He also has 12 runs scored and seven RBI. Paradoski has tallied two hits in five of seven games with at least one knock.

ZACH RHEAMS (INF)
Rheams is hitting .269 over 16 games with the Rivets this summer. He's tallied 18 hits, including a double and a homer, while driving in 11 RBI and scoring nine runs. Rheams began his summer season with six-straight games with a hit, including the first five with two each.

TY HARPENAU (RHP)
Harpenau has pitched in one game this summer for the Conejo Oaks. On June 13th against the Orange County Riptide, he tossed 1.2 innings & struck out two.

ERIKSON LANNING (LHP)
Lanning has also pitched in one game for the Oaks this summer. On June 15, Lanning tossed 3.0 frames, allowing two runs on four hits, ringing up three batters in the process against the Santa Barbara Foresters.

HEALDSBURG PRUNE PACKERS – CALIFORNIA COLLEGIATE LEAGUE

CLAY KOELZER (C)
Koelzer has played in four games this summer for the Healdsburg Prune Packers. He's racked up three hits and drawn four walks for a .214 average at the plate. He has hits in two of his last three games, including a two-hit game on June 16 against San Luis Obispo Blues.

GRANT LITTLE (INF/OF)
Little has also suited up for four contests for the Prune Packers. Little is hitting .222 with four hits, an RBI and a run scored. In his last game on June 18 against the Rockville Rock Hounds, he recorded two hits, his second multi-hit game of the summer, and scored a run.

CAMERON WARREN (INF/OF)
Warren is off to a hot start at Healdsburg thanks to seven hits, including one double, for a .389 clip at the plate. He also has two RBI, one walk and one run scored. He has a knock in all four games he's played, including a two-hit day in his first appearance in a Prune Packers uniform and a three-hit bid against San Luis Obispo on June 16.

NEPTUNE BEACH PEARL – CALIFORNIA COLLEGIATE LEAGUE

ANDREW DAVIS (RHP)
Davis has pitched in one game for the Neptune Beach Pearl this summer. He tossed 0.2 of an inning on June 20 against the PUF Caps & struck out one.

CALEB FREEMAN (RHP)
Freeman has made two appearances this summer for the Pearl. On June 22 against the Auburn Wildcats, Freeman got the start, tossing 3.2 frames giving up two runs on one hit, while striking out nine. In his first outing on June 19, he pitched a scoreless eighth inning, ringing up two batters.

CONNOR BECK (OF)
Beck has played in two games for the Orange County Riptide this summer. In his first game with the club on June 19, he recorded an RBI double then scored later in the inning.

CALEB KILIAN (RHP)
Kilian has made one appearance on the mound for the Riptide, starting against the Arroyo Seco Saints on June 16. In that contest, he went 4.0 frames, giving up just one run on two hits while striking out four.

SANTA BARBARA FORESTERS – CALIFORNIA COLLEGIATE LEAGUE

JOSH JUNG (INF)
Jung has played in six games this summer for the Santa Barbara Foresters. Over 24 at-bats, he's ripped eight hits, including a double, triple and a homer, for a .333 average. He also has eight RBI and four runs scored. In each of his first three games, he tallied multi-hit performances. In his summer opener on June 15, Jung recorded a double and home run against the Conejo Oaks.

JAKE MCDONALD (RHP)
McDonald has pitched in two games for the Foresters during summer league play. He got the start against the Foresters on June 15 in a showdown of Red Raider pitchers and went 4.0 innings, striking out six. The following week, he tossed 5.0 frames, giving up just two runs on three hits, punching out four.

JOHN MCMILLON (OF/RHP)
McMillon has made three appearances on the mound and hit in three games this summer for the Foresters. On the mound, he has yet to surrender an earned run while tallying 12 strikeouts. In his second outing, he recorded all six of his outs via strikeout, then followed with five of six in his next trip to pitch.
