Women’s Tennis Heads to Georgia Bulldog Classic

Lady Raiders set for round-robin against UGA, Georgia Tech and Georgia State
ATHENS, Ga. – Texas Tech Women's Tennis continues its fall season at the Georgia Bulldog Classic hosted by the University of Georgia.
Athletes from UGA, Georgia Tech and Georgia State will be competing at the three-day round—robin event. Action begins at 10 a.m. with the Lady Raiders hitting the court against Georgia Tech.
The Bulldogs have three players ranked in the top 25 of the 2017 Oracle/ITA Women's National Singles Preseason Rankings along with two doubles teams in the top 30. Georgia posted a 22-5 mark last season and concluded the year ranked No. 7 nationally.
Georgia Tech has three players in the ITA preseason singles rankings and one team in the doubles rankings. The Yellow Jackets (19-9) also reached the NCAA Round of 16 last year. Georgia State finished the 2015-16 season with a 15-6 record and made an NCAA Tournament appearance.
